EQUINE THERAPY IN THE NASHVILLE AREA

The therapeutic effects of horses on individuals with autism or psychological disturbances is well-documented. If we determine that it may benefit your child or young adult, ABA Bridges may recommend equine therapy. Our clients love interacting with these majestic animals, and we encourage them to enjoy these rewarding experiences.

Schedule your initial consultation today if the child or youth in your family requires an assessment. When appropriate, we will introduce equine therapy into our treatment program.

Therapy for Children with Autism and Other Conditions

As an adjunctive service (without charge), your child or youth may be able to interact with these animals on a semi-regular to regular basis. Horses teach trust, responsibility, work ethic, and confidence. Interactions will vary based on each client’s skill level.

We will incorporate equine behavior therapy into your child or youth’s program to aid in the best outcome for them. Some seasonal restrictions may apply due to extreme weather or temperature changes. Overall, though, these experiences prove to be overwhelmingly positive for many clients. Working with horses can have a calming effect and helps to boost self-esteem and independence. Let us know if you have any questions about this or our other services.
